Education Forum
Do you know how education is funded in the State of Georgia?  Did you know that Governor Deal appointed an Education Reform Commission in early 2015?  Did you know one of the objectives of this commission is to make recommendations on how public schools in Georgia are funded?  You will learn the answers to these questions and much more at the parent meeting on November 10, 2015 at 7 pm. The forum will take place in the Walton Theater and feature Dr. Dana Rickman of the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education. We look forward to seeing  a representative from every household at this meeting.

We rely on the generous support of our parents to donate prizes for this event and are still collecting prizes. All donations MUST BE IN by TUESDAY, OCTOBER 13th by the end of school.  If you would like to contribute a prize, please click here to make your donation. THANK YOU!
For Freshmen
Parents of all 9th grade students: During the spring semester of 9th grade, your child will experience the world of Shakespeare's drama and language.  All 9th grade English classes will read the classic tragedy Romeo and Juliet.  In order to enhance your student's understanding of the play, we have an opportunity to take students to see a matinee performance on February 24, 2016.  The performance is produced by the highly respected Atlanta Shakespeare Company at the Shakespeare Tavern playhouse in Atlanta at 499 Peachtree Street, NE.

If you would like to reserve a spot for your student at the matinee performance, please send in payment of $25 to cover the expenses and a signed permission form.  Checks should be made payable to Walton High School or exact payment is required if cash.  All monies and permission forms are due by Friday, October 23. Please turn in these items to your student's English teacher. Please see the English page of the Walton website for details and permission form.
