Orientation on Wednesday, July 29: Orientation for the 2015-2016 school year will be held on Wednesday, July 29 at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in the Fellowship Hall/Magnolia Room. For details, click here: Freshman Orientation or 10th-12th grade Orientation. Please note that only cash and checks are accepted at Orientation, no credit cards.
Make Orientation Quick and Easy: Visit the new PTSA website at www.waltonptsa.org where you can enter information for the directory, join the PTSA, sign up to volunteer, and order the directory and calendar. Everything will be ready for you at Orientation.
Volunteers needed for the Front Office: Looking for a fun, new way to volunteer at WHS? If you have a few hours a month, please come and join the fun as a volunteer in the WHS Front Office! You can be a permanent volunteer who works 2 - 3 shifts per month or be a Sub and fill in as needed, answering phones or greeting other parents and visitors. We are in need of more help this year due to construction. If interested or you would just like more information, please contact Natalie Collins at natalie.collins5@gmail.com as soon as possible.
Volunteers needed for the Media Center: The media center is looking for volunteers for WEB days, regular media center duties, and inventory. For WEB days, you would be involved in checking students in and out of school on WEB days and learning about some of the inner workings of the school. WEB is an excellent opportunity for the students to catch up on their studies and get one-on-one help from their teachers. Walton relies on parent volunteers to make this valuable time possible. To sign up please click here. For regular media center duties, we ask that you plan to work a one to two hour shift, but you may not need to stay that long. You may work any time on your designated day during normal media center hours. To sign up please click here. For inventory, we use a computer and a hand held scanner to scan every book on the shelves. To sign up for inventory click here. Questions? Please contact Archana Patel at archana301@yahoo.com.
