The next PTSA Raiders' Choice Enrichment Program will be offered during WEB on Nov. 12 from 1:15-2:15.  Please visit our website at Raiders' Choice for more information. Students can pick and choose the topics that interest them and fit into their WEB schedule and academic commitments. Some sessions will have a limited number of participants.

WHS "First Monday" Spirit Night is tomorrow, Nov. 3 from 5-8 at the Zaxby's at Johnson Ferry and Lower Roswell.  Zaxby's will donate 10% of all proceeds to WHS if you tell them you are a WALTON RAIDER!

NCAA Eligibility Information Night:  All 9th, 10th and 11th grade students who are considering competing in athletics at the college level are invited along with their parents to join us on Thursday, 11/6 at 6:30pm in the theater to learn about the academic requirements as well as the process to be declared eligible by the NCAA.

 

Drop/Add for Spring Semester : Students will be given an opportunity to drop or add one-semester electives for spring semester on Thursday and Friday, November 6 and 7 during lunch periods. Students will be able to pick up forms such as waivers, minimum day, tuition and flex schedule during that time. Additionally, teachers will verify the correct level placement in each year long academic course.  All waiver forms are due by Friday, November 14th.

Students interested in taking an additional course should complete a tuition form and return it along with $300 to Mrs. Rose by November 14, 2014.  Those who would like to be considered for flex schedule need to return the flex form by November 14, 2014.  Students wanted to take a zero period course for tuition are given preference over flex schedule.

Safety Officer and Custodian Appreciation Activities: Thank you for helping WHS show appreciation to Officer Hoppy and our incredible custodial staff.  Officer & Custodian Appreciation week will be held the week of November 3-7, 2014. 

 

Interested in pursuing a career in the medical or veterinary field?  Consider spending 10 days on the beautiful island of Grenada, learning through hands-on activities led by med and vet school professors at the St. George's University's Med/Vet Summer Leadership Academy! There will also be many opportunities to experience the rich culture and natural beauty of Grenada with fellow Walton students and teachers.

Junior and Senior Parents: Join us for Financial Aid Night on Monday, 11/17 at 6:30pm in the Theater. A representative from Emory University will present information on state and federal aid, the CSS profile and private funding options for your student's college education.

Attention Sophomores!  Hearing & Vision Retests will be Wednesday November 5.If you missed the screening last week OR you were told to return for a retest, please WEAR your glasses/contact lenses to the screening!

Thanks for Giving 2014FOOD DRIVE!  Walton's Spanish and Interact Clubs are sponsoring a food drive to provide Thanksgiving dinner for needy families in Cobb County from 10/27-11/7. A donut breakfast will be awarded to the homeroom contributing the most items!  Click HERE for the list of food items requested and more information.
