Newcomers Coffee and Pizza Party

The PTSA Newcomers Committee invites parents that are new to the Walton Community to a Welcome Coffee to be held on Friday, August 22, at 10:00am at the home of Hillary Hill. Students that have moved into the area are invited to the upcoming Newcomer Student Pizza Party to be held on Saturday, August 23, at 1:00pm in the Commons at Walton.  Please contact Susan Higgins at susan@planetstudio.com for more information and to RSVP!

Walton's Clinic Visit Procedure:  Parents please go over this procedure with your student so that they know what to do if they need to come to the clinic.  *A Pass is REQUIRED to come to the Clinic.  Please get a Pass from your teacher before coming to the Clinic. If it is between classes, please go to the next class to check in and get a pass from that teacher. You are welcome to come between classes without a Pass for Band-Aids, contact solution or ice. *You are allowed to carry your own bottle of Tylenol or Motrin (NO ziplock bags!) The Clinic does not supply over-the-counter medicine.  Thank you!  Nurse Evans

COLLEGE APPLICATION PROCESS: The School Counseling Department will present two programs on the College Application Process.  Mark your calendars for Aug. 18 (Navigating the Highly Selective Colleges) and Aug. 25 (Senior Parent Night: Application Process).

FRESHMAN "How to Succeed in Math Night": On Monday, August 11 at 6:30pm in the Walton Theater, the Mathematics Department will present information on how to help your child be successful in the Math classroom and an overview of the new curriculum.  Many of the 9th grade math teachers will be here for you to meet. 

WEB & CLUB FAIR: All freshman must stay for the first W.E.B. on Aug. 13. The Club Fair held in the Commons will allow you to learn more about the 70+ clubs at Walton.

FRESHMAN PICNIC : Get ready for fun and food with your friends at the Freshman Picnic.  This PTSA sponsored event will be held during WEB on Aug. 27!  Mark your calendar now! 

WHS Marching Band will march in the Tournament of Roses Parade on New Years Day!  Our band will be accepting their invitation to the Parade at a dress rehearsal and debut of their new show entitled "Compass Rose".  Please come out to enjoy this new program on Saturday, 8/16 at 8pm in Raider Valley!
 

Walton Drama Announces the Fall Musical.....

LETTER JACKETS : There will be a letter jacket "fitting" on 8/27 from 7:40-8:10am, outside the Commons.  Order forms will be available in the front office by 8/13.

Walton HS Club Ice Hockey Team try outs begin Saturday, 8/16 at the MIC for grades 8-12.
