**Attention Junior Parents**
Due to the inclement weather in February, the school counselors will be giving our information to Juniors in a large group setting.  On Tuesday the 15th of April
or Friday the 18th of April, Juniors are to attend 1 session during their lunch period. Each Junior has already been given this information.  They pick one day, and then decide to either attend the first 20 minutes of their lunch or the last 20 minutes of their lunch.  We will give them handouts and information regarding the College Search process.  Please remind your Junior to make sure that they attend one of these 12 sessions.

Good Friday Procedures for 4/18/2014

Whenever Good Friday is not on spring break, we have trouble getting the notes into PPO and
the notes to the students before they leave for services so we will use the same procedure as last year.
* On Tuesday, 4/15, Wednesday, 4/16, or Thursday, 4/17, students should bring their
notes to their homeroom teacher if they intend to check out on Friday, 4/18/2014.
* Homeroom teachers collect the notes each day and put them in the yellow envelope
inside your homeroom folder.

* Kim and Jill in PPO will write the dismissal notes for the students.
* On Friday... The dismissal notes will be in the envelope so you can hand them out in
homeroom.

Please emphasize to the students there will be no phone check outs on Friday for services.

Stop Hunger Now
Please join our students in a meal packing event to Stop Hunger Now.  The Walton Leader Academy group invites you to help provide the most basic need - proper nutrition - to needy individuals all over the world through a group effort to pack 8,000 meals on Sunday, April 27th, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm.  Each quarter that you donate - yes, .25 cents - will enable us to pack one meal.  Our initial goal is to pack 8,000 meals costing a total of $2,000 for the supplies and serving bags.  So far we have raised $1,000 for a total of 4,000 meals.  Help us to feed more people!

Please consider donating your spare change at our secure website link.  Each quarter donated buys one meal:

We need at least 70 volunteers on April 27th to make this event successful.  Volunteers are welcome to join us in the Walton Commons for the packing event.  Community service hours are available for students.

Feel free to contact Sheryl Davis at [email protected] in the English Department for further details.
