FREE NHS Tutoring Available 
Walton's chapter of National Honor Society offers free peer tutoring to Walton students before school, during lunch, and/or after school.  Any Walton student in any level of class is eligible for this program.  Sign up forms for the program are available in the Guidance department, as well as in the NHS sponsors classrooms: Edwards (C-171), Gamel (E-192), Pavkovich (B-217). 
CALLING ALL PARENTS!  
Looking for a fun, new way to volunteer at WHS? If you have a few hours a month, please come and join the fun as a volunteer in the WHS Front Office! You can be a permanent volunteer who works 2 - 3 shifts per month or just be a sub and fill in as needed, answering phones or greeting other parents and visitors. If you are interested or you would just like more information, please contact Natalie Collins at natalie.collins5@gmail.com by Friday, March, 28th. 
Talent Show  

The Annual Talent Show is on Friday March 21st at 7:00 pm in the Theater and the tickets are $5.00 each (No 4.0 passes accepted). 

 

Timber Ridge PTA Scholarships For Seniors 
Attention Seniors!

Applications are still available for the Timber Ridge PTA Widener-Bega scholarships.  Due to the inclement weather, we have extended the deadline for applications until   
April 7, 2014.

 

There are three merit-based grants of $500 for graduates of Timber Ridge Elementary School available to graduating seniors from either Pope or Walton High School who have demonstrated excellence in modeling the Timber Ridge values of Learning, Caring and Sharing. Students who live in the Pope or Walton districts but attend a Cobb County magnet or charter high school are also eligible. There is also a scholarship designated for a student who receives or received special education services and meets the above criteria.

1)    Pay by credit card on line:  Go to www.waltonhigh.org and click on foundation tab, click on the Survival Kits tab. Fill out the form and use secure pay. You can also click here.  

  

2)    Mail the bottom portion only (one per student) of the form (click here) along with a check to Walton Facilities Foundation, Inc. Bill Murdock Rd. Marietta, GA 30062.  Please put the student's name on the memo line.  

Very important - Please write on the bottom of your envelope "Survival Kits".

 

3)    Forms may also be dropped off at the front office.

 

You may make one payment for multiple students, but each student needs a separate form.

 
Attention Class of 2014

Raider Pride Scholarship 
If you have been a recipient of the Raider Pride Award at any time during your high school years, then you are eligible to apply for the Raider Pride Scholarship. One senior boy and one senior girl will receive the award at Honors night. They will be chosen by a panel of adults with no children attending Walton. All names are removed from the submissions and are chosen based on their character traits as the focus and not academic grades. Applications with instructions are available on the Walton website under PTSA or you can click here.  Please return completed applications to Ms. Lenenski in Guidance. All applications are due by Thursday, March 27 at 4 pm.
Cheerleading Tryouts  
Monday, March 17, at 6:30 pm in the Walton Commons, there will be a mandatory meeting for all parents and girls interested in trying out for cheerleading next year.
