Raider Pride Scholarship
If you have been a recipient of the Raider Pride Award at any time during your high school years, then you are eligible to apply for the Raider Pride Scholarship. One senior boy and one senior girl will receive the award at Honors night. They will be chosen by a panel of adults with no children attending Walton. All names are removed from the submissions and are chosen based on their character traits as the focus and not academic grades. Applications with instructions are available on the Walton website under PTSA or you can click here.  Please return completed applications to Ms. Lenenski in Guidance. All applications are due by Thursday, March 27 at 4 pm.
Teacher Appreciation at Brumby Elementary School

Each year, the Walton PTSA organizes the Teacher Appreciation Luncheon at Brumby Elementary School.  This year's event is scheduled for Wednesday, May 7, 2014 and it's a circus theme. We provide a meal, decorations and a goody bag for all 130 teachers.  The main dish will be Chick-fil-A sandwiches, and we are asking for donations from our wonderful Walton PTSA volunteers to complete the menu.  The Walton students in Community Outreach Club assemble the goody bags at their March meeting.  Donations to fill the goody bags are requested on the Sign-Up Genius list (click here.)

Please take note of the corresponding due dates.  (Your email confirmation will most likely list the date of the event which is May 7, not necessarily when YOUR ITEM should be dropped off.)  Please bring your item in disposable containers labeled with your name and BRUMBY LUNCHEON in order to avoid confusion in the Front Office

Global Festival
This event showcases the different countries represented at Walton. Our club has held this event for two years and we have committed ourselves to expanding cultural awareness in the East Cobb community through this Festival. The global festival is on March, 14 2014 from 6:00-8:00 PM in the theater.  The entire Walton Community will enjoy the festival, so please plan to join us on Friday night.  This year, we have added a competition between the booths that represent different countries. Each booth is trying to collect tickets that sell for $1 each, and the winner and runner up receive all of the money raised to give to a charity. We, as a club, do not earn any portion of the money, so every dollar raised goes to a global cause.
