Progress Reports
The Cobb County School District has delayed the issuing of progress reports by one week.  Progress reports will be sent home on Wednesday, February 26th. 
Walton Self-Defense Program  
The Walton P.T.S.A. will again present the Max Defense's Personal Empowerment & Defense hands-on clinic. In just a few hours, YOU will learn how anyone can back down over 90% of all aggressors without using any physical force. Calling All Seniors!!
The Senior Evening Inspiration Committee needs your help to plan your Evening of Inspiration on May 19th.  If you would like to be a part of this important event, meet us Tuesday, February 25th in the conference room in the Media Center at 7:45 am.
Junior Parent Night
The Walton High School Counselors will host Junior Parent Night on Tuesday, February 25 at 6:30 p.m. in the theater.   The college admissions process will be addressed by WHS Counselors and a panel of college representatives.  The panel will consist of representatives from Auburn University, Furman University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia Regents University, Georgia State University, and Louisiana State University.   Junior Parent Night is sure to be an exciting and informative evening!

AP Night at Walton

Come and discover some of the answers at AP Night at Walton for rising 10th, 11th and 12th grade students and their parents.  Thursday, February 27th ... 6:00PM in the Theater with rotations to meet AP teachers in each content area.

Do you have questions about the course content, the workload, or how the course might relate to your overall study plan? Want to meet the AP teachers and hear what they have to say about the course? How about the amount of reading? How hard is the AP Exam? What are the prerequisites?

Walton will host an information night to help you make intelligent decisions regarding the courses you may want to take. The evening is open to anyone with a question about or an interest in AP who will be a sophomore, junior or senior next year.

Plan on joining us! Thursday evening, February 27th at 6:00 PM for a short meeting in the Theater to learn about the impact AP courses have on your college application and experience. The meeting will be followed by a rotating schedule to see the AP teachers in the content area of your choice!

Summer School Information

The Cobb County School District will not be offering a district wide summer school this year.  Walton High School will be offering a limited summer program to provide opportunity for our students to earn additional credit.  

 

Academic courses will be available for those students who failed the course during the 2013/2014 school year.  

 

Health and Personal Fitness will be available to all students for initial credit.

Kroger Community Rewards
The Walton Facilities Foundation, Inc. is excited that families can link their Kroger Plus cards to help Walton students!   Sign up now for Kroger Community Rewards for Walton Facilities Foundation, Inc.  The Foundation will receive funds designated for teacher grants as a result of your Kroger shopping!  All you need to do is register your Kroger Plus card and show your card every time you shop at Kroger.  The money earned from this program will be used to award teacher grants and purchase educational items requested by teachers from every department at Walton.  Click on the link below for instructions on how to register:
