On Wednesday, 1/15, Governor Deal presented to the Georgia Legislature his Amended 2014 Budget and his proposed 2015 Budget. Please read the papers on Thursday, 1/16, as details of the budgets will be available to the public. Our legislators will soon begin their committee hearings as they work to finalize both budgets. Now is the time for state legislators to hear from their constituents about what is important to them and how they would like the budget prioritized. If you would like to reach out to your elected officials, please find below the contact information. This is your opportunity to let them know why education funding is important to you and how the budget cuts have impacted your child.

Accident Avoidance Workshop at Walton March 14 & 15
|
Driver trainin' the way it ought'a be!
When your student completes the 30 hours of driver's ed classroom, 6 hours behind the wheel, and 40 hours of parent-supervised driving, you've just equipped them with the absolute minimum amount of training required by the State. Some stop there and hope it's enough. But for those of you who insist they achieve more than the "minimum" skill level, call the Accident Avoidance Workshops. We fill in the gaps, and extend their abilities. We're "driver trainin' the way it oughta be". Parents are invited to attend as well, and when you do, your auto insurance will lower. Many have said that it saved them more than enough to pay for the class. But, that is the BONUS. The main point is safety for your child.
The Workshops are coming right to Walton High School, March 14th & 15th. Click here for more information and for a complete schedule of locations and dates, or call 770-262-7009. If you are ready to register, you may click here and feel safer about your child being behind the wheel.

Prepare for the SAT with the Princeton Review at Walton
|
During the SAT course, The Princeton Review administers three, full-length diagnostic SATs, each with a detailed analysis pinpointing individual strengths and weaknesses. The individual attention The Princeton Review gives each student is only one reason for the success of this program. Equally important is the focus of the classes. The Princeton Review approach includes a thorough review of all math, reading and writing skills tested on the SAT, including the student-written essay. However, they go beyond that and they teach test-taking techniques that make students feel in control of, rather than controlled by, the SAT.
The tuition covers all the work they do, including classroom instruction, three diagnostic tests, 24/7 access to online student resources, and all course materials. To learn more about The Princeton Review, please visit www.princetonreview.com.
To view the schedule and to register, please visit www.princetonreview.com and look under SAT classroom and your zip code. Discounted Tuition is $400. To receive the discount, please use promo code at checkout: ATLPSHIP3
