FACE It Cobb, in partnership with EmpowerED Georgia Action, will launch the Stop Putting Our Schools on Shoestring Budgets Campaign to spread awareness of the urgent education funding issues.  Come learn about the issues and join the launch.

 
Finally, please mark your calendars for Walton's follow-up meeting on January 9th, 2014 at 7 pm.  We will be discussing what we can all do to highlight the importance of this issue to our public servants before the legislative session begins on January 13, 2014.
Senior Parking
We will begin accepting applications for 2nd semester SENIOR parking December 2nd-6th.  Any senior wanting to park on campus 2nd semester needs to turn in their form that week.  Decals will be available the week of final examsIf we end up having extra spaces, we will award those to the juniors via lottery.
Staff Holiday Luncheon

Calling all bakers...or anyone who loves to cook!  This year's holiday lunch is all about Italian!  Valentes of East Cobb is catering a wonderful Italian lunch and WE NEED YOU to help create a fabulous Italian dessert buffet!  To make it easy, I have attached links to 5 easy Italian desserts from Giada De Laurentis's recipes on FoodNetwork.com.  Please deliver all desserts by 9am Thursday, Dec. 12th to the Media Center.  Can't cook?  No worries.  We have a volunteer spot available for you!  Buone Vacanze!!!!


One Opening Available for MED/VET Academy 
We currently have 17 Walton students registered for the St. George Medical School's MED/VET academy scheduled this summer (June 24-July 5) in Grenada.  Therefore, there is ONE opening available as we can take 18 students from Walton.  For information, contact Mrs. Cheshire at Janice.cheshire@cobbk12.org

Tennis Try-outs
There will be a tennis tryout information meeting for all athletes and their parents on Wednesday, December 4th, at 6:00 in the Commons.  The meeting is for all athletes trying out for Boys & Girls JV & Varsity Tennis in the spring.
