Outdoor Illumination Gives Back 

At Outdoor Illumination, we are firm believers that giving back to the communities we live in makes for a better world. Here are just a few ways we tried to do just that on April 25th - a National Day of Service.

Montgomery County's most vulnerable residents often cannot pay for critical home repairs, energy efficiency upgrades, and accessibility modifications. Rebuilding Together Montgomery County partners with state/local governments and corporate and community partners to get the help these individuals need. Here we are working with our partners at Booz | Allen | Hamilton as we filled up 7 (yes, count 'em!) dump trucks with trash and yard debris. 



Outdoor Illumination and Kane Landscapes partnered to work with Pathway Homes, an organization that provides permanent supportive housing to individuals living with serious mental illness. Together, they updated the yards of two townhome properties that provide a home to eight people regaining their potential. 

The image below illustrates the before and after shots of one of the yards. It is our hope that the peace and serenity of the new yard is a bright spot in the lives of the residents!

We are always proud to support the beautification efforts of this great local university project. We commend their commitment to sustainability and providing a green environment in the university setting.


 


This organization works to protect the fragile natural environment in lower Montgomery County and adjacent DC neighborhoods and to ensure that the natural spaces in our area are here for many years to come and for future generations to enjoy.

Landscapes Projects Inc. Features Outdoor Illumination Project in Recent Edition of Newsletter

In the most recent edition of Seasons, the newsletter published by Landscapes Projects, Inc., one of our favorite projects was highlighted! 

We provided lighting for beautiful Nepalese wooden window frames that were acquired by clients during their travels and repurposed as garden sculptures. 

The end result was absolutely spectacular, and we were thrilled to be included in their newsletter!
