Parishioners Celebrate Mother Cabrini's Feast Day

Saint Clement's Faith in the Next Generation committee hosted a special day at the National Shrine of Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini for parish families to gather and worship in this breath-taking setting. Fr. Ken presided at the Mass, followed by a docent-led tour of the Shrine. Lunch was served in the beautiful "Narthex," a space that surrounds the stairs to the chapel and features artwork and statuary. As the guests ate they were able to watch one of the two large screens play videos about the life of Mother Cabrini and the Missionary Sisters work in the world today.

After lunch, in celebration of Mother Cabrini's feast day, there was a concert of Bach, Vivaldi, and others.

Parishioner Susan Brady sent her thanks for hosting the Mass, tour, and lunch. "The Cabrini Shrine event was fantastic! Our 2nd grade daughter couldn't wait to get to school on Monday to share the field trip with her class. The story of Saint Cabrini was amazing, the chapel was beautiful & the lunch was delicious."

Jill Blardinelli agrees, saying, "I thoroughly enjoyed the Mass, field trip and buffet. The man who gave the lecture/tour possessed an exceptional knowledge of history, art and Catholicism. The shrine was so gorgeous!"

Santa and Helpers Spread Christmas Cheer During Friday Morning Hospitality

Jolly old Saint Nick and his special volunteers spread Christmas cheer last Friday, December 19, while Saint Clement staffers and volunteers distributed sack lunches and provided hospitality to the homeless.

If you would like to join in on the fun and aid in offering juice, coffee, and donuts to those who wait in line outside during our regularly scheduled Friday sack lunch program, as well as share in hospitality and conversation, and serve as a welcoming face of the Saint Clement Parish, contact Joanna Krynski. This is a family-friendly opportunity, so bring the whole family!
