Greetings,

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Life Planning Partners has so much to be grateful for this year and at the top of that list is the continued support from our wonderful clients.

We are closing out 2014 with a bang. Carolyn and Tim are busy doing year-end tax planning and tax loss selling, and Carolyn is finishing up all the estate reviews. In addition, with open enrollment for the Affordable Care Act, Carolyn and Carrie are helping many of our early retirees get good deals on health insurance. Carrie is also "cleaning up" the new financial planning software and preparing for your projections early next year. Finally, Krissy is making certain our clients have finished their year-end contributions to their retirement plans. Needless to say, this is the time we "earn our keep." Thank you so much for your patience with us during the year-end rush.

And speaking of earning our keep... at the end of every two years, we revisit client fees and send you a new fee agreement. For most clients, fees are staying the same. For others, some will go up and some will be lowered. It all depends on the complexity of the work we have done in the past two years and expect to do going forward. We'll explain any changes to you in a letter you will receive within the next couple of weeks. Clients who signed up with us this year will not receive letters, but otherwise, be on the lookout for your new agreement and call Carolyn with any questions you have.

We will be closed on December 25th and 26th. If you have any burning year-end needs, be sure to call us as soon as you know what they are so we can take care of your fire...

Warm regards,

Carolyn, Tim, Carrie, and Krissy

Secound How to Stop Credit Offers

With the holidays quickly approaching, many of us will find a multitude of credit offers arriving in the mail daily. These offers can be annoying and can open you up to fraud. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the consumer credit reporting agencies are permitted to include your name on lists used by creditors or insurers to make offers not initiated by you. The FCRA also provides you the right to "Opt-Out," which prevents consumer credit reporting agencies from providing your credit file information for offers.

If you would like to stop receiving these offers, simply go to www.optoutprescreen.com and choose to "Opt-Out." This will remove your information from the pre-screened offer list. Should you change your mind, you can always go back to this same site and choose to "Opt-In." This is just another way to protect your credit without the hassle of completely freezing your file. For more information on how to protect your credit go to:
