Congratulations to the Aitkin County Workforce Center as the winner of the local 2015 Touchstone Energy Commitment to Community Award.

The Aitkin County Workforce Center staff helps over 2500 residents annually by providing one-on-one employment and training assistance, career exploration, crisis intervention, transportation assistance, support services, youth employment services, and educational opportunities to unemployed and underemployed individuals.

The staff actively seeks out partnerships with businesses to assist them in identifying potential candidates, ensure that the local workforce is trained to meet their needs, and to identify future opportunities for growth and advancement.

Workforce Center services are provided through a partnership of Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency (AEOA) and the Northeast Minnesota Office of Job Training (NEMOJT).
