This Sunday is Mother's Day. That "someone special" deserves our love, attention, gratitude.... and a darned nice bottle of wine!
We have traditionally rolled out the new Rose's of the year, and just received "round 1" of a tremendous selection of "pink beauties". But please check out our other inspirations below... something for everyone!

 2010 "FEMINESSANCE" - $60 (reg. $75)
This is the top cuvee from Domaine La Tour Saint-Michel, whose owner and wine-maker are both women. The wine, which has two 95-point ratings, is simply gorgeous, and this is the last of it you will see. It is named for the "feminine" side of Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Only 200 cs were made of this stunning wine.
2008 FLEURON - $20 (reg. $45) 
This Alexander Valley gem was made by May-Britt (with help from her husband Denis Malbec, who used to make Ch. Latour). We have featured this before and tasted it, but never offered it at this price. Not surprisingly, it is a "Bordeaux blend" of about 1/2 each Cabernet and Merlot. Organically farmed, 100% French oak. With bottle age. 2009 CENYTH - $40 (reg. $60)

OK, now to the pinks. We have many, but here are 2 opposite ideas, depending on your orientation. The Orin Swift, is big, juicy, hefty (it is, after all, made by the same people who make "The Prisoner"). Some would say ,"Beauty is skin deep".
The Moutard is Champagne. Proper rose' soaked on the skins. Earth and mineral notes accent flavors of strawberry, black currant and ground spices in this firmly structured rosé Champagne, which is full-bodied, vibrant and juicy, with a lip-smacking finish. Several 90+ scores. Pinot Noir.
VILLA M ROSSO BRACHETTO 
If it is something sweet you want, here is perfection: it is delicately sweet, low in alcohol (5%), and frizzante. Perfect chilled with light desserts or fruit. Hand-picked Brachetto grapes.
