Dear

Got some Deaux?

We brought in a very small amount of some nice Bordeaux values.  Our focus was on 2nd wines from really top producers, such as Beaucaillou, Lagrange, Pichon Lalande, Gruaud Larose.  We were able to get a couple slightly older vintages, too.  Get some fast.

2012 CH. COURONNEAU

Really Good bang-for-the-buck that is drinking nicely now, very approachable, juicy and lush with hints  of earth and forest floor.

2011 CH. LAMOTHE-BERGERON  (Haut-Medoc)

A nice-value "Cru Bourgeois".  Good, expressive fruit, elegant and balanced with plenty of structure. It has 89pts from James Suckling and the Wine Enthusiast.

2005 CH.  PLAISANCE "ALIX"

Merlot, Cab, Cab Franc from the well-known Bernard Magrez... and from the great 2005 vintage.  No need to wait, drinking nicely.  Bargain.

2009 CH. RIPEAU  (St. Emilion)

Located next to Cheval Blanc and Figeac on some very good terroir, the wine has power and strength, with a fine core of mid-palate fruit.  Velvety cassis, plush, loamy, blackberry preserves, fig, framed by coffee and roasted vanilla notes.

One of the best 2nd wines, and here with the benefit of the fantastic 2005 vintage.  Deep nose with good perfume. Full and creamy on the palate with firm, ripe tannins, berry and chocolate fruit and an attractive, sweet finish..
