Alas, this Saturday will be the last day at City Wine for Robert Reyes, who we were lucky to have. We will surely miss Robert's energy and passion, but we have a new person, Christine Milan! Christine just moved here from Boston, and is also a certified Sommelier. She is also serving at Rioja restaurant.
So, you must come say "good luck" to Robert" and "welcome" to Christine. This Saturday, we will open some fun wines and have some goodies. Hope to see you there!

I had to chuckle. A recent ad for a big nearby liquor store than begins with an "A", had this headline for a $28 Chateuneuf-du-Pape feature:
"Only 56 cases of this stunning 91 point CDP!"
This pretty well sums up business for a small shop like City Wine. City Wine might sell 56 cases of CDP over 10 years! But let it be known. We have a great selection of CDP's and they are very reasonably priced, even every day. Thanks for your support for the "little guy".
- Even in summer (now), we have 15 different CDP's in the store
- There are not many bottles of any of them
- 4 are priced under $35
- 3 have over 95pt ratings
- We even have a couple magnums
- and more coming in this fall... watch out!
