This week, we have a few "finds" for you, including 2 "gems" from Friuli, some of the new releases and values from the Kermit Lynch, and a special white Burgundy offer from Montagny.

Plus, we have some fun stuff coming up:

On September 28, we feature a Funkwerks Brewery tasting. The Saturday after that we have a tasting of wines from the island of Sardinia. And... at last... Max the Burghound makes a City Wine appearance on October 12, when we will feature a tasting of the Côte Chalonnaise from Burgundy! Hoo-boy!

The best bottling of this amazing wine from Bourgueil AOC in the Loire. Delicious young. Outstanding aged. A true bargain in a terroir-driven wine.

2011 CLOS LA COUTALE MALBEC - $14.99

Go France. The new release of classic French Malbec from Cahors, it is a good one.

Dense but fresh, with a saturated core of blackberry pâte de fruit, anise and plum sauce that races along with vibrant spice and graphite notes.

2011 DIDIER CHAMPALOU VOUVRAY "SEC" - $17.99

Chenin Blanc that is clean, precise, with just a hint of sweetness, and crisp acidity. Elegant, distinct, balanced. Always impressive. A bargain at regular price, this is a "steel".
