Dear
We "toured-le-France". Now we "paint-la-Spain".
Pablo Picasso had a thing about guitars. A "milestone" spanning the worlds of classical and jazz, "Sketches of Spain" was recorded by Miles Davis in 1960.

Bright purple. Black raspberry and cassis aromas, with spicy mineral and floral elements gaining power with air. Powerful dark fruit flavors are sweetened by vanilla and cola nuances and lifted by juicy acidity. Impressively velvety wine, with very good finishing breadth and lingering spiciness. Plenty of bang for the buck here.
Reg $14 Sale $10.99
The young vines offering, a blend of 60% Monastell, 25% Syrah and 15% Cabernet. Dark, saturated, high-toned nose, almost like a Cab Franc. Pure, bright, deep and focused ref-purple fruits with light tannins and good acids. Another lovely value.
Reg $14 Sale $10.99
From Mencia, aged briefly in new French oak and then in older barrels before bottling. Dark ruby. Ripe red- and blackcurrant aromas are complicated by anise, cola and sexy oak spices. Soft dark berry preserve flavors gain minerality and firmness with air. Zesty cherry skin and mineral notes carry through a long, gently tannic finish.
Vivid ruby. Highly perfumed aromas of red berry preserves, lavender and Asian spices. Juicy and open-knit, with alluringly sweet and expansive raspberry and floral flavors supported by tangy minerality. The finish shows no obvious tannins and lingers with very good tenacity, the red fruit and floral notes repeating. These vines, planted in the Vinos de Madrid zone, are reportedly over 120 years old.
Reg $19 Sale $14.99
100% Tempranillo, aged in for six months in two-year-old French and American oak barrels: Bright purple. Pungent aromas and flavors of candied black and blue fruits, licorice and violet, with a smoky overtone. Sappy and expansive, finishing with impressive power and slow-mounting tannins. This wine has the depth and structure to age.
