CITY WINE BRINGS YOU FANTASTIC VALUES
Doh. Who says good wine from Bordeaux must cost tons of dough? City Wine seeks values by participating in "direct importing", and we have just received a shipment of Bordeaux reds that represent remarkable value, especially in the world of expensive Bordeaux.
We tasted through many wines and picked a few of the best. These wines come from the "petit chateau" from satellite areas such as Puisseguin St. Emilion, the Côtes de Blaye and Côtes de Bourg.
We will have these wines open for tasting on Saturday, with special pricing listed below. THESE WINES ARE LIMITED, ALL IN STORE

2010 Chateau Haut Pougnan
Sale: $11.99
This is our 3'rd year with this wine, only available in Colorado in the US. Simple, clean, fresh wines at an amazing price. These have been featured in the Guide Hachette since 2005. An "easy drinker" with a hint of tobacco and leather.
2009 Chateau Peyra ud 1er Côtes de Blaye
A very attractive petit chateau made by the Rey brothers on the plateau above Blaye. 50% Merlot, 30% Cab, 15% Cab Franc. No wood.
See what the Wall Street Journal says about this wine
From the Côtes de Bourg, this is great-drinking 2009, at a price well below its quality level. Lots of poise. Merlot, Cabernet, Malbec
2009 Chateau Fongaban Puisseguin St. Emilion
Expensive perfume, berries, cedar and cassis; ripe Merlot fruit (no "green". Year in and year out, a great value fruits. Nice tannin and acidity, great promise.
