PROVENCE
Some might regret leaving the chilly climes but celebrated wines of Burgundy behind but for me it is always cheery to roll south toward the Mediterranean and the warmth of the sun into ......Provence.
Our "southern day" began in the breathtakingly beautiful village of Cassis and the only (that I'm aware of) wine from this appellation that makes it into Colorado, Clos St Magdeleine. A bright, clear aromatic white (we'll taste it) perfect for grilled fish.
Bandol
the name conjures up a sense of rusticity, a back to the earth honesty and character. The most well known producer, of course is Domaine Tempier but my favorite little discovery is Domaine Terrebrune a wine that captures all that is exciting about Bandol at a fraction of the price.
Please join us for this very special tasting of Provence.
