Employee Development Statistics to Consider at Year-End*
● 76% of employees want opportunities for career growth.

● 40% of employees who receive poor job training leave their positions within the first year.

● 25% of employees would be more satisfied at work if they were given the opportunity to do what they do best.

Training and development budgets have risen by 15% in the last year.

Perhaps it's time to consider employee development planning for 2016?

"Workers reported that companies generally satisfy their needs for on-the-job [skills] development and that they value these opportunities . . . But they're not getting much in the way of formal development, such as training, mentoring and coaching - things they also value highly."

- Monika Hamori, Jie Cao and Burak Koyuncu, Harvard Business
