Chamber helps open GreekFest 2016
 The Macomb County Chamber was pleased to once again be part of the annual ribbon cutting ceremony at Assumption Greek Fest 2016 at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church on Thursday, August 18. Congressman Sander Levin and Macomb Community College President Dr. James Jacobs were a few of the many elected officials and VIPs at the event. The opening ceremony included entertainment and refreshments for all attendees.

Pam Lavers into Hall of Fame
Pam Lavers served as the Deputy County Executive for Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel and is a passionate public servant with over 20 years of commitment to her community. She leads community relations, outreach and cultural affairs for Macomb County and directs the efforts of One Macomb, an initiative focused on making Macomb a more welcoming and inclusive community. Pam serves on McLaren Macomb Hospital's Diveristy Board, United Way's Emergency Food and Shelter Program Board, Macomb's Habitat for Humanity Advisory Board and the Detroit Institue of Art's Community Relations Board. Because Pam is so passionate about educating our future public servants and leaders, she proudly serves on Central Michigan University's Public Administration Advisory Board and Baker College's Statewide Advisory Board. She is also the president of the Macomb Literacy Partners Board. Pam has proudly lived in Macomb County her entire life. She and her husband Gordie have two adult children.

Driver Tyler Reddick to visit Macomb Community College
Driver Tyler Reddick and the No. 29 Cooper Standard Ford F-150 he drives for Brad Keselowski Racing will be at the South Campus of Macomb Community College on August 25, from 1-4 p.m. All are invited to see the truck and meet Reddick, who will be available for autographs and photographs. The college's South Campus is located at 14500 E.12 Mile, between Bunert and Hayes. The event will be located in Parking Lot 4 of the college.
L.L. Beans Opens at Partridge Creek
On Thursday, August 19, Michigan's first L.L. Bean joined The Mall at Partridge Creek's more than 90 distinctive stores and restaurants. Known for outdoor gear and apparel, the Maine-based retailer occupies an expansive 14,000-square-foot space. The store will offer products ranging from hiking shoes and rain gear to school backpacks and home accessories. The L.L Bean store is located in the mall's center court between Pandora and Lush.
