MCC Appoints Presidential Search Committee

The Macomb Community College Board of Trustees appointed an 18-member Presidential Search Advisory Committee.  Consisting of representatives from the college's board, employees, students and community members, the role of the committee will be to review and evaluate applications for the presidency, recommending finalists for consideration by Macomb's full board of trustees.  The board has engaged the services of R.H. Perry & Associates, a firm that specializes in assisting institutions of higher education in identifying and selecting leadership.  They will be facilitating a series of meetings with the presidential search advisory committee, college staff and community members to provide comprehensive input to Macomb's board of trustees in developing a profile for the position, including identifying necessary background and experience, as well as ideal characteristics.  Community members interested in providing input can participate in a forum on Tuesday, July 26, 4-5:30 pm  in Room 324 of the John Lewis Student and Community Center (K Building) on the college's South Campus, 14500 E. 12 Mile Road, Warren.  The executive profile, the application process and a projected timeline will be made available through the college's website, www.macomb.edu, as soon as the information is finalized.
