McLaren Macomb Adds Shelby Twp. Center
McLaren Macomb has expanded its presence in Shelby Township with the addition of Stony Creek Urgent Care to the hospital-owned McLaren Macomb-Shelby Creek Medical Center. In addition to the recently-opened urgent care center, medical offices currently occupying a suite at the McLaren Macomb-Shelby Creek Medical Center include McLaren Macomb-Shelby Creek Family Medicine, McLaren Macomb Physical and Occupational Therapy, McLaren Macomb Diagnostic Imaging, McLaren Cardiovascular Institute and Allure Medical Spa with plans in place to add more. Open daily from 9 am-10 pm - including weekends and holidays - Stony Creek Urgent Care is located in Suite 100 of the McLaren Macomb-Shelby Creek Medical Center, 8180 26 Mile Road (between Van Dyke and M-53) in Shelby Township.
FreeStar Named Best of the Best
FreeStar Financial Credit Union, formerly known as Central Macomb Community Credit Union, was named in Macomb Daily's Best of the Best Readers Choice Awards as the best credit union for the fifth year.
Registration is open for the Families Against Narcotics 5K Walk/Run and 10K Run they are holding on Saturday, July 16 at Fraser High School. The Run/Walk is the single largest fundraiser for FAN and helps to sustain their efforts throughout the year. All proceeds benefit their continuing efforts to educate communities throughout Michigan on the epidemic of prescription painkiller addiction and its potential to lead some to heroin use. Click here

Walsh Hosting Admission Day
Walsh College will host an Admission Day on Thursday, July 21 at the Troy, Novi, and Clinton Township locations. Prospective students will be able to meet with an advisor, discuss academic programs, learn more about financial aid, student life, and career services, tour the campus and have their application fee waived by attending. Macomb County Seeks Hosts for Manufacturing Day 2016
Macomb County is seeking area manufacturers to offer tours for small groups of students for Manufacturing Day, a national campaign designed to create greater awareness about the importance of the manufacturing industry. The Macomb County Department of Planning and Economic Development is working with the Macomb Intermediate School District and a dedicated planning committee to organize a countywide celebration of MFG Day on Friday, Oct. 7. The goal is to provide an opportunity for 2,100 students to visit area plants. To get involved, local manufacturers should contact Maria Zardis at email@example.com before Tuesday, Sept. 2 to become a host site. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Partridge Creek Holds First State Bank Series and Strolling Sales
The First State Bank Summer Sounds Concert Series has kicked off at The Mall at Partridge Creek. There will be concerts Thursday-Monday, through September 5. Click here for a complete concert schedule.
The Mall at Partridge Creek is also holding a strolling sidewalk sale July 15-16 with special events happening throughout both days. These events include dog obedience training from Happy Tails Learning Center, a fresh fruit and flower stand by Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace, a donation center for Macomb County Habitat for Humanity, kids craft tables, face painting and caricature artists.
