Find Motivated, Work-Ready Employees
Macomb Community College is hosting a breakfast meeting on Tuesday, June 28, 7:30-9 am, at its South Campus in Warren for employers interested in exploring how the college's expanded apprenticeship program can help them effectively grow their own workforce. Employers will learn about Macomb's Michigan Apprenticeship Program Plus (MAP+) program, which offers industry-driven, structured training that allows employers to develop current employees, as well as to interview and hire students. MAP+ is funded in part by a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration under the American Apprenticeship Initiative. The cost to attend the Employer Information Session is $10/person, which includes a hot breakfast. It will be held at the John Lewis Student and Community Center (K Building) on Macomb's South Campus, 14500 E. 12 Mile Road, Warren. Register online at www.macomb.edu/apprenticeship. Axalta Wins GM Award
Axalta Coating System held an event to celebrate receiving the General Motors Supplier of the Year award for the second consecutive year. Click here for details on the Supplier of the Year award. During the celebration, Axalta unveiled the paint scheme for the No. 88 Axalta-University of Michigan race car which Dale Earnhardt Jr. will drive in August during the Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway.
