Networking at the 'Finn 

 Macomb County Chamber members enjoyed a late afternoon Member Mixer on Tuesday, June 14 at Blackfinn Ameripub at the Mall at Partridge Creek in Clinton Township.  Members were treated to flatbreads and give-aways.  Richard Lebiedzinski of Freedom Boat Club and Sarah Bojanowski of Macomb Center for the Performing Arts each won a four-pack of baseball tickets to Jimmy John's Field in Utica for next weekend's games.  (Make sure to check our Facebook page each Monday for trivia questions that could win you tickets and a parking pass to United Shores Professional Baseball League games.)  Deanna and Holly of Bright Side Dental won a Blackfinn growler and gift card.  See the photos on our Facebook page!

Pilot Group Holds Ribbon Cutting

Pilot Group, part of Raymond James & Associates, Inc., held a ribbon cutting on Thursday, June 2 at their new office at 19176 Hall Road, Suite 100, in Clinton Township.  Township Supervisor Bob Cannon and Trustee Ken Pearl were present at the ceremony.  Attendees were treated to an outdoor celebration with food and refreshments.



Culver's Breaks Ground in Chesterfield Twp.

A groundbreaking was held at the location for the new Culver's at I-94 and Hall Road.  Construction is slated to be finished in the fall of 2016.

Hope Center Part of Art Van Charity Challenge
Art Van's Charity Challenge has included Hope Center Macomb in this week's bonus challenge - a matching funds program. The challenge ends June 22 and they need everyone's help. The first 300 online donations of at least $50 receive a $50 match courtesy of Art Van.  For every $1 donation, Hope Center provides three meals.  A $50 donation, along with the Art Van match, could provide 300 meals. Free Soccer Friendship Tournament for Kids
Local youth between the ages of 6-14 are invited to participate in the Friendship Games, a FREE one-day soccer tournament on Saturday, June 25, 10 am-3 pm at Delia Park, 3001 18 Mile Road in Sterling Heights. No experience is necessary at this family-friendly event. The event is to foster friendship, mutual respect and understanding among participants and the broader community. T-shirts, snacks, water and participation awards provided. Wear soccer cleats or shin guards if you have them. Registration is due June 22. Anton Exhibits Running Until End of the Month
Anton Art Center in Mount Clemens has several exhibits running through the end of June.  "Soliloquy," featuring select artworks from members of the Detroit Society of Woman Painters & Sculptors, is open through June 30.  "The Art of Dance," featuring select artworks from members of the MCAA, the LPC and the WTCFA artist groups, runs through June 29.  An opening reception and awards event is on Saturday, June 18, 1-3 pm.  "East Side Art Show 2016," featuring the select artwork installation Plumbum by artist Mark Bleshenski, is open through June 30.  Visit theartcenter.org for more information.


WSU Offers Chinese Language and Cultural Enrichment Program
Wayne State University is offering a China Corp Summer Camp July 18-29 at its Farmington Hills location. It's open to students from any school district in 7th-12th grades and teaches, among other things, Chinese language, calligraphy and tai chi fan dancing. The fee is $199, with a 10% discount for siblings.  The registration deadline is 5 pm on July 1.  Click here for more information.
