Win Tickets to the New Jimmy John's Field
Rich Lebiedzinski of Freedom Boat Club and Sandra Graef of Minacs each won a family four-pack of tickets to this weekend's games at the new Jimmy John's Field in Utica. Rich, unable to attend, kindly gifted his tickets to Brad Russell of Launch Pad Marketing. These tickets were given away in a drawing at the Get to Know Your Chamber event on June 2 at First State Bank.

The Macomb County Chamber is a proud sponsor of Jimmy John's Field, home of the new United Shore Professional Baseball League.  We will be giving away family four-packs of tickets (with VIP parking pass) throughout the season at Chamber events and through our Facebook page contests. Only members in good standing are eligible to win.  Please Like us on Facebook and don't forget to check our page each Monday for that week's contest.  You could be our next winner!

County Co-Hosts MI Bright Future Workshop
With more than 58,000 workers reaching retirement age each year in southeast Michigan, hiring managers throughout the region are concerned about the future of our region's talent pipeline.  MI Bright Future can help fill that gap by connecting today's employers with tomorrow's workers. MI Bright Future is a safe, one-stop place where employers can offer guidance to students as they explore career options. Macomb County Department of Planning & Economic Development will co-host an informative workshop about the program on Tuesday, June 14, 8-10:30 am, at the Velocity Center for Collaboration in Sterling Heights. There is no cost to attend. Pre-registration is required. To see the flyer, click here.  To register, click here.  Workforce Intelligence Network (WIN) is spearheading the initiative.

Oakland U Offers Career Camps for Teens
Oakland University is offering its 2016 Summer Career Camps, a unique pre-college experience for motivated and ambitious high school teens to help them choose a college major and future career. Teen campers are immersed in the fastest-growing careers like robotics, engineering and computer science, criminal justice, business, healthcare and more through hands-on skill-building activities, team exercises, field trips and interactive discussions with industry professionals and OU faculty and staff.  The camps run June-August and are for teens 14-18 years old (13-year-olds who will begin high school in the fall can also attend).  The camps are offered in Macomb, St. Clair and Oakland Counties.  Click here for more information.
