Members Enjoy Coffee Connection at Eos Cafe
New member Eos Cafe & Coffee House hosted a Chamber Coffee Connection on Friday, April 22.  Members enjoyed coffee and pastries while networking.  They were also able to tell the group about their company and what they do.  Eos is located at 30625 Jefferson in St. Clair Shores.

Learn Natural Solutions to Allergies and Asthma
Bender Chiropractic Health & Vitality Center is holding a free Allergy and Asthma Health Seminar on Wednesday, May 4 at 6:30 pm.  Learn about the endocrine system and how it relates to allergies and asthma, the link between digestion and the liver as part of your immune health and how supplements, vitamins and minerals are different, how they work and how to choose them to solve your health issues. Judson Center Celebrates Expanded Mental Health Footprint
Judson Center is holding an Open House on Thursday, May 5 at its new offices at 12200 E. 13 Mile Road, Suite 200 in Warren.  The event will kick off with a ribbon cutting at 9 am, attended by Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel, Congressman Sander Levin and Warren Mayor James Fouts.  Refreshments and tours will be from 10 am - noon.  For information, call Melissa Savage at 586-573-1817.  RSVP by April 30.  The Judson Center provides services to those impacted by abuse and neglect, autism, developmental disabilities and mental health challenges.


Bridging Generational Gaps
Women in Defense Michigan Chapter is offering "Bridging Generational Gaps," a presentation by Foley & Lardner LLP to discuss the differences between each generation and how to bridge them.  There will also be breakout discussions.  The event will be on Thursday, May 5, 5:30-8 pm, at Filippa's Wine Barrel, 45125 Mound in Utica.  The fee is $35/member, $50/non-member.  Click  here to register.  For more information, email events@wid-mi.org.


Wine Gala Fundraiser for College
Walsh College's Wine Gala, one of its largest annual fundraising events for student scholarships, is Friday, May 6, 7 pm, at the General Motors Heritage Center, 6400 Center Drive in Sterling Heights. The Gala celebrates the Kentucky Derby and Derby attire is encouraged. Guests will enjoy wine tastings, cuisine catered by Forte Belanger, a hosted bar, mint juleps, bourbon pie and full access to the GM facility.  The annual Gala raises funds for the Walsh College Scholarship Fund, which has supported many Walsh students since its inception in 2003. Tickets are $175. An invitation-only, VIP Sponsors Reception offering advanced access to rare-wine tables begins at 6:30 pm. Dual Use Tech Event 
DC3S Defense Corridor Center for Collaboration and Synergy is holding the Dual Use Technology Briefing on Thursday, May 19, 9 am-2 pm, at their facility at 7205 Sterling Ponds Ct in Sterling Heights.  The event will deliver information on how companies developing innovative technology can do business with the United States Tank Automotive Research Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC).  There will also be a tour of the RAVE CAVE, the Reconfigurable Center for Automated Virtual Environments, established by a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement. Salute to Seniors & Veterans 
State Representative Peter J. Lucido is hosting the Salute to Seniors & Veterans Benefit Expo on Monday, May 23 at The Palazzo Grande, 54660 Van Dyke in Shelby Twp.  The Veterans Expo will be 10 am-noon and the Senior Expo will be 1-3 pm. Free lunch and desserts will be provided. All seniors and veterans from the 36th district are invited at NO COST to attend. Walsh College Leader to Retire
Walsh College President and CEO Stephanie Bergeron announced her retirement, effective early 2017.  She is the first woman to lead the College, and its sixth president since its inception in 1922.  Bergeron rose to her current position in 2007. A national search process will be used to find a new president. 


Baker Opens Dental Clinic
Baker College of Clinton Township has opened a dental hygiene clinic, in conjunction with its associate degree dental hygiene program.  It is located at 34401 S. Gratiot in Clinton Twp.  Services include oral exams, X-rays, dental cleanings, periodontal scaling/root planing and application of fluoride and dental sealants. Care is provided by students under the direct supervision of licensed dentists and hygienists.  Call 586-790-5238 for an appointment.


Genisys One of Top Credit Unions
Genisys Credit Union was named one of the Top 50 "Best Performing" credit unions in the country by S&P Global Market Intelligence.  It's one of three Michigan credit unions to make the list, ranking 13th nationwide.  It's the only credit union in Metro Detroit, as well as on the east side of the state to be honored with this designation.
