Chamber Holds 
State of Clinton Township Breakfast

Clinton Township Supervisor Robert Cannon presented the State of Clinton Township at a breakfast on Friday, January 22 at the
Clinton-Macomb Public Library (Main Branch).  Greg Jakub from Henry Ford Macomb Hospitals emceed the event. Other speakers included Congressman Sander Levin, State Representatives Anthony Forlini and Marilyn Lane and Macomb County Chief Deputy Executive Mark Deldin. 


Block Advisors Opens in Warren

Block Advisors, a subsidiary of H&R Block, celebrated its opening with a Ribbon Cutting on Thursday, January 14.  Block Advisors is at 29327 Mound in Warren.


Buffalo Wild Wings Holds Ribbon Cutting
Buffalo Wild Wings in Mount Clemens celebrated its remodeling with a Ribbon Cutting on Tuesday, January 28.  A Chamber Member Mixer took place immediately afterward, with an opportunity for members to try tasty appetizers while networking. The members were also able to introduce themselves and talk about their business.

Walsh College Appoints Interim Chair
John Black, a financial management veteran with more than 36 years of industry experience, has been appointed as interim chair, Accounting, Tax and Business Law and associate professor, Accounting, at Walsh College.  


MCC Improves Learning with Renovation
Macomb Community College's newly renovated C Building on its South Campus in Warren has re-opened with the start of the winter semester.  The $8.5 million renovation of the 48-year-old building was funded with $4.25 million from the State of Michigan, along with a match by the college through its capital projects fund. Overall, the 60,000-square-foot building's electrical upgrades have reduced its energy consumption by approximately 60 percent.  The programs housed in the building are business administration, information technology (IT), health and humanities programs.

Chili Cook-Off Fundraiser
Anton Art Center and Mount Clemens Goodfellows are teaming for the 11th Annual Fire & Ice Chili Cook-Off Fundraiser on February 4 at 6:30 pm.  Tickets are $15/person, $25/two people.  Tickets include taster chili at each location, souvenir chili pepper beads and a score card. Ice Carving Show is a Family Event
Don't miss the 11th Annual Downtown Mount Clemens Ice Carving Show. This is a great opportunity for the entire family to spend time outdoor while enjoying this unique show with carving demonstrations throughout the event. The show opens on Friday, February 5 and runs through Sunday, February 7.  There is also an Indoor Kids Wonderland Warming Center featuring Elsa and friends, life-size Candyland game, hobby horse races, face painting, carnival games, popcorn, penny candy and hot chocolate.
