The Macomb County Chamber's Public Policy Committee met with Representative Marilyn Lane, who represents Mount Clemens, Fraser and part of Clinton Township. She informed the Committee about her plans for getting Michigan roads fixed. Representatives from the Regional Transit Authority were also there to talk about the Gratiot Corridor.
Brigadier General Speaks to Chamber Committee

Brigadier General Leonard Isabelle met with the Macomb County Chamber's Military Affairs Committee to prep them on the strategic direction of Michigan's military plans, including Selfridge Air National Guard Base. The Committee is part of a contingent going to Washington, DC later this month. The group will speak to lawmakers regarding military issues.

The Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency (MVAA) recognized both Baker College and Walsh College as a Veteran Friendly School - Gold Level. This honor recognizes institutions of higher learning for their dedication to student veterans and dependents.
Central Macomb Community Credit Union Holds Seminars and Shredding Days
Central Macomb Community Credit Union President and CEO Drema Isaac will present "Understanding Your Credit Score" on Oct. 13. Attorney Deborah Lampar will present "Wills & Trusts" on Oct. 21. Looking for a fun, inexpensive way to treat the family this Sunday? Take them for an autumn train ride in a 1930s passenger car through Mount Clemens, Clinton Township and Harrison Township. The train departs from Joy Park in Clinton Township. The last scheduled ride is Oct. 25. Zoo Offers New Group Experiences
 The Detroit Zoo is offering visitors three new ways to have fun at the zoo. Breakfast with a Favorite Animal - Enjoy a continental breakfast at an animal habitat of your choice and learn details of the animals' daily lives. Resident Reptiles - Receive a private tour of the Holden Reptile Conservation Center, learn about the inhabitants and watch one get fed.
