Shelby Township Supervisor Rick Stathakis delivered his State of Shelby Township address on Wednesday, August 5. Civic and government leaders, along with other chamber members, attended.
Harrison Twp Library Celebrates Expanded Hours with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Macomb Chamber members Harrison Township Public Library held a ribbon cutting on August 8 to celebrate their official Grand Opening as new members of the Suburban Library Cooperative. The library is now open Monday - Saturday for a total of 40 hours a week. The library is located at 38151 Lanse Creuse St.

Zoo's Run Wild Event
The 19th annual Run Wild for the Detroit Zoo is scheduled for Sun., Sept. 13 and will offer a 5K run, 10K run, a 5K and 10K combo and a noncompetitive 1.5-mile fun walk. Medals will be presented to the top two male and female finishers in each age category. All participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt, as well as free admission to the zoo on race day. (Regular zoo admission applies for non-race participants.) A post-race party sponsored by Kroger will follow the event with live music, family entertainment and complimentary food and beverages.
