The Detroit Zoo and Michigan Humane Society, in collaboration with more than 40 local animal welfare organizations, will host the spring 2015 Meet Your Best Friend at the Zoo Friday, May 15.  Hundreds of dogs, cats, puppies and kittens will be available for immediate adoption to loving homes at one of the nation's largest off-site companion animal adoption events. Juan Carlos Lozano, a Baker College student, has been named Michigan's Student Teacher of the Year by the Michigan Association of Teacher Educators (MATE). Placing third in the statewide competition is another Baker College student, Wendy Roehl.


Walsh College will host its sixth annual HR Summit on Friday, May 1, at the Troy campus.  The summit offers education and training for human resource professionals on the latest labor laws, affordable health care act legislation, and other important issues.
