Breakfast of Nations May 7


The Breakfast of Nations event on Wednesday, May 7, at 7:30 a.m., will explore talent connections: connecting immigrants rebuilding their careers with employers looking for experienced global talent and economic development through top talent retention. Featured speaker is Bing Goei, Director of the Michigan Office for New Americans. Click here for a flyer with full information. Tickets, which include breakfast, are $25.

Time flies when you're having fun!
SailTime Detroit is celebrating it 10th Anniversary. SailTime Detroit currently has two 33' Hunter sailboats sailing out of Shore Club Marina on Lake St. Clair. Owner Jim Kaza is negotiating for a 35' Gemini Legend catamaran that  he hopes to add to his fleet this season.  


As part of its celebration, SailTime Detroit is offering Chamber Members a $250 discount on their SailTime Detroit Orientation, including free sailing lessons and American Sailing Association Certification, and 2006 pricing on their monthly Hunter 33 Membership Fee.

Free Puppet Show  

The Anton Art Center is sponsoring "The Fisherman and his Wife", a puppet performance by Brad Lowe, on Sunday, May 4 at 2:00 p.m. The performance is free and open to the public thanks to the generosity of volunteer Nancy Henk. The Anton Art Center is located at 125 Macomb Place in Mount Clemens.
