While the bulk of the roughly 1,600 Citizen-Airmen who make up the 127th Wing at Selfridge Air National Guard Base live in Macomb (457 members); Oakland (264); Wayne (207); or St. Clair (154) counties, about 600 Selfridge Airmen live outside these counties and commute to the base at least monthly to perform their military duties. A small handful of Airmen live outside the state and commute to be a part of the wing at Selfridge.
