Martin to be honored as Member of the Year

Congratulations to Diana Martin--networker extraordinaire and this year's Member of the Year! Diana will be recognized with her award at tonight's Annual Meeting at Andiamo Italia in Warren.

Diana has 15 years of experience in the banking industry and is currently the branch manager at Towne Mortgage of Grosse Pointe Woods, an office she helped to open in 2013.

Diana joined the Macomb County Chamber in 2011, when the Metro East Chamber, where she was actively involved, dissolved.

She not only serves on the Macomb County Chamber's Board of Directors, she also chairs the Membership Committee and the Ambassador Program. In 2013, she helped to start a new networking LEADS group in St. Clair Shores.

"Helping people to make professional connections that benefit their businesses is a very satisfying part of my job," said Martin. "The Chamber is a valuable tool for making those connections and I'm proud to be a part of it."

Personally, Diana is the mother of two children: Shawn, 27 and Miranda, 19. She lives in Eastpointe with her rescue pit bull Jenny. Tom Pollaccia is her significant other.

Did you know?

The 127th Wing at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, had an estimated Local Economic Impact of $650 million in fiscal year 2012. That number was a decrease from $750 million the previous year, due to the financing of several construction projects in FY 2011. The impact number does not include payroll and operations of the numerous tenant commands (Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, DHS, etc.) that operate at Selfridge.
