SAFE eBlast!
10 June 2015

As part of SAFE's mission to promote excellence in aviation education, SAFE is pleased to support research by aviation graduate students and others that can lead to improvements in aviation education.  The below survey is part of that research.   I hope you will take a few minutes to help Ms. Dunbar with her investigation.

Sincerely,

CFIs Needed to Complete Survey for Educational Purposes

Hello, you are receiving this message as a courtesy to Ms. Victoria Dunbar, a Ph.D. candidate at Florida Institute of Technology's doctoral program in Aviation Sciences. This one of a kind study is investigating the factors that could contribute to CFIs becoming complacent, which could then be manifested as a lack of or reduced vigilance. She is seeking your assistance to complete an online survey, which would take 10-15 minutes. To date, there have been no published studies that examined complacency among CFIs. Ms. Dunbar endeavors to identify prevention strategies that could be developed into standards, which could then lead to a reduced risk of CFI complacency and an overall improvement in GA safety. In addition to taking the survey we also are seeking your generosity in distributing the survey's link. The study is targeting those who have a current CFI certificate, regardless if they are currently working as a CFI or not. Please feel free to forward this email to any and all CFIs. To participate, you may access the online survey via the following link:http://questionpro.com/t/ALRnkZSfeI

By supporting academic research and donating time and input to the institutions that train the next generation of aviation professionals, you are active in ensuring the future safety of the flying public. Thank you!
