The organization's first Executive Director, Doug Stewart, has retired after more than four years at the controls. An executive director search committee was formed immediately after Doug announced his retirement. The committee divided its efforts into two parts - updating the executive director's job description and developing a plan to locate and contract with the organization's next executive director (ED). 

The first part is now complete and part two - identifying and contracting with SAFE's next ED - is underway. Identifying suitable candidates begins with notifying our members and stakeholders. That notification starts now. Click here for SAFE's Letter of Solicitation for the position of Executive Director. We encourage everyone with an interest in leading our organization forward to review the letter and apply in accordance with the letter's instructions.
