SAFE was founded on the ideals that our leaders should come from the membership and that our leaders should be elected by the membership. Each year SAFE members elect three Directors to serve on our Board of Directors for a three-year term. We are looking for you to run for Director of SAFE.

The time commitment of a Director is not great, but we do need some of your time. The board meets once a month in the evening via teleconference. We communicate via email and the phone with each other and the various SAFE committees throughout the month. Typical monthly time investment is around 8 hours. Have you got 8 hours a month in your busy schedule to improving Aviation Education?

You'll need to attend AirVenture, at the end of July which includes the SAFE Annual Meeting and Dinner. Participating at Sun 'n Fun would be extra credit. Hanging out with the other directors of SAFE, meeting our members, and sharing SAFE's mission is all part of the work we do at these events.
