SAFE Breakfast
| The sixth Annual SAFE Sun 'n Fun Breakfast, sponsored by Piper, Starr Aviation and Aviation Insurance Resources, will be held on Thursday morning, April 3rd, from 8 - 9AM. This year we have changed caterers and expanded the menu so that everyone who attends will be well fueled for a full day of activities at Sun 'n Fun. The breakfast will provide great opportunities to not only meet other SAFE members, but also to network with many invited guests from both industry and the FAA. Pilot Proficiency Project
| | SAFE, in association with Redbird Flight Simulations and Starr Aviation, will once again be conducting the Pilot Proficiency Project during Sun 'n Fun. This year the entire event will be located in the new and expanded Redbird exhibit located just to the north of the FAA Pavilion. Not only will we be conducting the simulator scenarios in an FMX painted in PPP colors, but there will be an area in the exhibit set aside for the presentation of PPP seminars. We are still in the process of building the seminar and simulator schedules, but they will be posted in the near future. |

Discounted Admission to Sun 'n Fun

Don't forget that SAFE members can use a promotional code to purchase admission tickets at a discounted member rate. This promotional code can be used online starting immediately. The code is: SAFE012. In order to take advantage of this discounted admission price you will be required to show proof of membership when redeeming an online ticket or purchasing onsite at the ticket window. Please remember that membership cards are available electronically only, and are accessed by logging into the website and clicking on Manage Your Account. On the left side of the Manage Your Account webpage that comes up, you will see download links for your membership card and wall certificate that you can print. To purchase tickets online click here.

Volunteers

As always, we are still in need of volunteers to staff the SAFE tent. Volunteer duties consist of meeting and greeting visitors to our exhibit, providing them with a bottle of cold water, answering their questions about SAFE, and ideally recruiting them to our ranks. As a volunteer, for every member that you can recruit during Sun 'n Fun you will gain another entry in the drawing that will be held at the end of the "Each One Get One" membership drive, along with a Starbucks coupon. (More about that below.) If you can volunteer a morning or afternoon of your time to help SAFE, meet great people, and have a fun time please go to the sign up page to let us know.

"Each One, Bring One" 2014 SAFE Membership Campaign
|
PurposeThe 2014 SAFE Membership Campaign will kickoff on February 1, 2014, and SAFE needs YOUR help. All current SAFE members are invited to participate in a special recruiting effort called "Each One, Bring One" to achieve SAFE's goal of 1500 members by July 2015. Process Each SAFE member is asked to recruit one new member into the organization between February 1 and July 31, 2014. This recruitment campaign is not a competition to see who can bring the most members, but the more members you do bring into SAFE, the faster SAFE will reach its membership goal AND the more times your name will be entered into a special drawing at the end of the campaign. The recruiter's name must be shown on the membership application for participation. Members can participate by recruiting a new member, who would pay his or her own membership dues, or by purchasing a gift membership for the new member. Current members can download and print a SAFE membership brochure from the SAFE website to use in their recruitment efforts or they can simply put a link to the membership brochure in an email they send to a potential new member. The new member can either print out a SAFE membership application from the website to be mailed back to SAFE with dues payment or they can complete a membership application online. There is a place on the membership application for the new member to write in the name of the current SAFE member recruiter. Member Incentives - Each participating member who recruits a new member will receive a $5.00 Starbucks gift card immediately after the new member pays his or her dues.
- Each participating member will receive one chance per new member recruited to win a special prize via a drawing at the end of the campaign. This drawing will take place at the annual SAFE dinner held in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, during AirVenture 2014.

- SP-400 handheld NAV/COM aviation radio from Sporty's Pilot Shop
- $400 gift certificate from King Schools to be used for training materials
