THE COLLECT  FOR SUNDAY

Almighty God, you have knit together your elect in one communion and fellowship in the mystical body of your Son Christ our Lord: Give us grace so to follow your blessed saints in all virtuous and godly living, that we may come to those ineffable joys that you have prepared for those who truly love you; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.   BCP2455

ATHEDRAL NOTES

STEWARDSHIP INGATHERING SUNDAY
Sunday ends our month-long stewardship drive.

GROWING IN GRACE: BECOMING FAITHFUL STEWARDS
If you have not done so, please return your pledge before or on Sunday. Additional forms are available on the ministry table. Please place your pledge envelope in the basin in front of the pulpit as you go up to communion.

Many thanks to our speakers for this year's drive. Members of Christ Church shared their view of stewardship and our parish with us during each Sunday in October. The message Growing in Grace: Becoming Faithful Stewards was outlined by our vestry leadership: Leslie P. Ladd, Senior Warden and John S. McClelland, Jr., Junior Warden. Lay leaders and Vestry members Rick Mitchell, Henry Seawell, John Davidson and Banks Ladd introduced our speakers. Sage and Preston Bolt, Rebecca and Chip Tait, Carol and Bill Rodgers, and Brie and Grant Zarzour brought their stories to us.

LEGACY SOCIETY RECOGNITION
We are pleased to introduce the founding members of the Christ Church Cathedral Legacy Society. The Society, recently established by the Vestry, exercises stewardship for future generations by making provision for Christ Church in our estate plans. These funds will be maintained in the Christ Church Cathedral Endowment which is restricted to funding ministries beyond the annual operating budget.

Mr. and Mrs. J. David Brady, Jr.
Harwell Ellis Coale, Jr.
 Mary Elizabeth Coale
The Very Reverend Johnny Walter Cook
Mary Eileen Potchernick Cook
Marion Conrad Gonzales
Marion Frederickson Gonzales
 Holly Kaufmann Hall
William Edward Hall
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bradford Ladd
David Lindsey Sanders
Ronald Snider
Carolyn Bradford Stephenson

Please prayerfully consider how you too can be part of the perpetual support of Christ Church Cathedral by making these provisions. Consult with your attorney and financial advisor about options available in estate planning. Our Chancellor Harwell Coale is available to consult with your professionals.

COMMUNITY DAY OF PRAYER
At the request of Mobile's Mayor-elect, Sandy Stimpson, we are joining with the community of faith in our city in a Day of Prayer. As our new city leaders prepare to be sworn into office tomorrow, we pray for our community and it citizens.

CHRIST CHURCH CATHEDRAL MISSION

The Cathedral is the spiritual center of the Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast.  The Cathedral is a dynamic and evolving church that serves as a liturgical, educational, and pastoral center for Diocesan life. It serves as a visible symbol of unity and promotes growth, hope, and a deepening trust in the Lord. The Cathedral is a place where the Gospel of Jesus Christ will be faithfully preached and responded to, and it will model new concepts and ideas for education, evangelism, and outreach to which the Gospel calls us.
