RECOGNITION OF OUR CHRISTIAN EDUCATION TEACHERS
Sunday, May 5
Our dedicated Christian Education teachers have done a wonderful job this year with our 117 Cathedral family children. Sunday School may be over, but Children's Chapel will continue throughout the summer. Vacation Bible School will be held June 4 through June 6. Special thanks to Alison Mitchell for her leadership and planning. She was graciously assisted by Katie Patton and Barry Weeks.
Now is not too soon to decide to help with Christian Education, which will begin again in the fall on Sunday, September 8. If you are interested in helping, please contact Alison Mitchell or call the Cathedral office.
UNITED THANK OFFERING INGATHERING
Sunday, May 12
United Thank Offering (UTO) is a ministry of the Episcopal Church for the mission of the whole church. Through United Thank Offering, men, women, and children nurture the habit of giving daily thanks to God. These prayers of thanksgiving start when we recognize and name our many daily blessings. United Thank Offering is entrusted to promote thank offerings, to receive the offerings, and to distribute the UTO monies to support mission and ministry throughout the Episcopal Church and in invited Provinces of the Anglican Communion in the developing world. The Ingathering this year will be next Sunday, May 12. UTO is a project of the Episcopal Church Women. UTO materials are available on the Ministry table.
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
RECOGNITION
Last Sunday marked the final date for our Christian Education program. The Children's Chapel ministry continues year round. We will honor our Christian Education teachers this Sunday, May 5. Thank you to Alison Mitchell, who has stood as Christian Education director to all of our dedicated teachers.
See Sunday's insert for a list of our Sunday School teachers.

Sign up here:
http://www.christchurchcathedralmobile.org/Lifetouch.html or call the Cathedral office 251-438-1822.
Pictures will be taken beginning Tuesday! Please allow one hour to have your photo taken and to choose which to use in the directory. When you come to have your photo taken, please park on St. Emanuel Street. Enter through the garden gate and the ground level door, proceeding to the Brantley/Huger parlors. A greeter will help you sign-in and a representative of Life Touch will meet with you following the photo session.
We are told that you may bring meaningful items to have in your portrait, or well behaved pets. You will also have photos taken without them for use in the directory. If you would like to invite friends or family to have their pictures taken, spots are available for them to use as well.
We can use professional photos if you do not wish to have your picture taken. You will need to complete and have a professional waiver signed with submission of your photograph.
Many thanks to Lucy Rouse Wright for her leadership in this ministry. Spots are still available; if you haven't already, please sign-up to have your picture made.
