THE COLLECT
Almighty God, you have knit together your elect in one communion and fellowship in the mystical body of your Son Christ our Lord: Give us grace so to follow your blessed saints in all virtuous and godly living, that we may come to those ineffable joys that you have prepared for those who truly love you; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.
Cathedral Notes November 4, 2012 ALL SAINTS' CELEBRATION Sunday we celebrate All Saints' Day. Everyone is invited to the garden for a lovely reception prepared by members of all of the hospitality teams led by ECW Co-Chair Erica McElhaney. Sean Thomas will be frying oysters in the garden thanks to members of the Vestry and Stewardship leadership teams. The teams sponsored the treat in thanksgiving for an anticipated successful stewardship 2013 campaign. Ann Luce will provide the floral décor for the celebration. We appreciate everyone who helped prepare for this special time of fellowship. All Saints' Celebration Music Peggy L. Lyden, Organist and Choir Master

The storm has caused record flooding in some areas and left an estimated 6 million people on the Eastern Seaboard without power. Episcopal Relief & Development has reached out to local partners and will continue to stand with them as they assess needs and develop response strategies. Learn more here....

CHRIST CHURCH CATHEDRAL MISSION The Cathedral is the spiritual center of the Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast. The Cathedral is a dynamic and evolving church that serves as a liturgical, educational, and pastoral center for Diocesan life. It serves as a visible symbol of unity and promotes growth, hope, and a deepening trust in the Lord. The Cathedral is a place where the Gospel of Jesus Christ will be faithfully preached and responded to, and it will model new concepts and ideas for education, evangelism, and outreach to which the Gospel calls us.
