PUBLIC HEARING ON FORMULA-BASED FAST FOOD

Cotati City Hall, 201 W. Sierra Ave., Cotati
The Cotati City Council will conduct a Public Hearing to consider an amendment to the Formula-Based Fast Food Restaurant ordinance. The recommended changes would eliminate regulations pertaining to: 1. caps and equitable distribution (current capped at 8) 2. limitations on multiple same franchises within the City (currently not allowed) 3. spacing requirements The ordinance amendments would apply city-wide with the exception of the Public Facilities, Commercial and General Industrial zones and certain portions of downtown where outlets are already prohibited. 4 OPPORTUNITIES TO MARKET TO SSU On August 17th, 2013 approx. 3100 students will be moving into the Residence Halls at SSU and around that same time the other 4000 students will be moving into the Rohnert Park/Cotati area. Approximately 1700 of them will be incoming first year students, or transfer students, who have not spent much time in this area.

We will be hosting a spaghetti feed dinner. We will also be holding a raffle drawing and a silent auction! All proceeds will go to the family of Stephanie Cody!

23RD ANNUAL COTATI ACCORDION FESTIVAL
Sat. & Sun. 8/17 & 8/18La Plaza Park, Old Redwood Hwy & W. Sierra Ave., Cotati The 23rd annual multi-cultural, multi-generational, nonprofit Cotati Accordion Festival will be taking place this August 17th & 18th in La Plaza Park in downtown Cotati, Ca.. The event, which donated $19,250.00 to local youth groups following the 2012 festival, will be celebrating "Viva L'Italia" with internationally acclaimed Italian accordionists Renzo Ruggieri, Vincenzo Abbraciante, and Pietro Adragna, all making the long trip from Italy to take the stage in Cotati. The festival will also include 20 accordion acts, including zydeco, klezmer, polka, tango, Latino, rock and much more, along with the polka tent, the jam tent the zydeco dance party, food vendors, arts and crafts, beer and wine.
