We are so thrilled to have the lovely Sarahjoy Marsh return to Cannon Beach with a superb selection of workshops and a lecture that she will co-deliver with her husband, Jay Gregory.
Sarahjoy is the founder of the DAYA Foundation, a non-profit yoga center in Portland, OR, and has been teaching yoga since 1994. She skillfully blends yoga's deep tool kit of asana, pranayama, meditation, and philosophy with Western medicine's contemporary discoveries in interpersonal neurobiology, the relationship between the systems of the body and the impact of the mind, and the role of our social "animal" in our spiritual and psychological lives. Her approach is encouraging, collaborative, and compassionate. She draws directly on her own life experiences, which include serious injury from a motor vehicle accident that required a hip replacement at age 42; years spent living in intentional community at a dedicated retreat center; graduate studies in transpersonal counseling and art therapy; professional background in mental health; teaching yoga in prisons and rehabilitation centers; years of personal practice with her teachers; and physical therapy mentorship from her colleagues at Therapeutic Associates, Inc.
