Greetings!
I think that the second week of November is my new favorite week! I'm feeling hopeful for the future - mine and this county's; excited and energized for new opportunities; and grateful for and in awe of how interconnected we are to each other and the things that we value and hold dear.
A huge thank you to the Cannon Beach City Council for their thoughtful consideration and approval of the Tourism & Arts Fund grant recommendations made by the Tourism & Arts Commission (TAC). And I'm eternally grateful to the TAC Board Members for volunteering to work to balance the distribution of these funds. Their support of the Cannon Beach Yoga Festival is essential and so appreciated!
So, we are out of the starting gate for the Cannon Beach Yoga Festival! Save the Date: March 1-3! The teachers are the Best of the Best! And there will be awesome lodging packages! Our website will be updated, soon, to reflect this year's festival.
My Monday trip to the post office led to a surreal experience. As I sorted through the stacks of junk and bills, I came upon a direct mailer with someone very familiar on the cover. I had to put my glasses on to be sure, but, yes, that is me standing in the ocean of Cannon Beach! Weird and Wonderful at the same time! I wonder if this is a sign that I need to get myself to a Chopra Center event. Or maybe Deepak Chopra will come to ours???
The 2013 Event Catalog is free. You can order a copy for yourself. It would be hysterical if they noticed a huge influx of requests to the North Oregon Coast!
Class Cancellations We will not have class on Thanksgiving, 11/22. I hope you have a wonderful day. But come by on Friday for regular classes that will stoke the digestive fires!
This weekend in Cannon Beach is the Women Only Weekend, a pre-holiday shopping event. We'll be open for the Saturday Night Shopping Event. Come by for 20% off in the Yoga Boutique. And a fun 10 Minute Shopping Stretch starting at 6:00, 7:00 and 8:00pm.
