Well Underway
Rome's Toys For Tots Program is well underway with a goal to insure smiles on children's faces at Christmas Time. Work Begins On T4T Distribution Center

The Community Building is being readied to receive, count and sort thousands of toys. Pictured are Terry Clift and Hal Gosnell lining off the floor and making it ready for the racks.
Huge Toy Purchase At Toys R Us
Saturday was a super shopping day for Toys For Tots thanks to a huge corporate grant from Toys R Us through the Marine Toys For Tots Foundation. It took two pickup trucks to haul all of the blue bags filled with over $4,000 worth of toys. Project Coordinator Marti Robles aided by Sherry Thompson spent hours in the store before it opened as special shoppers.
The Big Move Is On
The move from the warehouse has begun too. Pictured are Scottie Edwards and Justin Mashburn, the grandson of the Wachsteters, as they helped begin the big move to the fairgrounds.

Can You "Adopt" A FRC Family For Christmas?

Each year our Exchange Club Family Resource Center tries to make sure our client families are "adopted" at Christmas time to insure the children have as much of a joyous and stress free holiday season as possible. This year, our center volunteer Susan Little will be coordinating the effort.
We have families of all sizes from single mom/1 child to two parents/5 children, and everywhere in between! You can choose the size family you sponsor. The FRC Staff will do the shopping if you just want to donate the money. If you do the shopping, we would like to have the gifts here at the Center no later than December 15th to give the Parent Aides time to get them to the parents before school is out. No need to wrap gifts unless you just want to! Parents can wrap the gifts and would enjoy doing that.
If you, or a group of individuals, would like a family, please contact Kathy Phillips at the FRC know,706-290-0764, and she will give your contact information to Susan so she can contact you.

Be A Santa For A Senior...Sign Up
The Holidays and Santa for Seniors will be here soon. Often there are Seniors in our Community who do not have family and we will be asking you to adopt a Senior for the Holidays. You will be given a name, their location, and a list of things they would like to have. The Sheriff's Department will be delivering the gifts Christmas week.
Call Wanda Whitten (706) 506-0043 and bring happiness to someone who would have be forgotten.

Rome Americanism Program Visits Manchester
The replica of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was a feature attraction this past weekend in Manchester, GA as part of their Veterans Day festivities. The City government invited the Americanism Committee of our club to participate after they were told of Rome's project. The next display will be here in Rome for the Marine Corps League.

Our Partners in Prevention Campaign is going strong---as of November 8th, we have raised $96,336 toward $125,000. We hope that ALL Exchange members will support THEIR center by making an end of year donation or pledge. Making a gift to the FRC is a great way to remember a friend during the holidays---it is a gift that directly impacts the life of a child. Donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 168, Rome, GA or you make them online here. YES...I Will Donate
Don't forget that the Exchange Club Family Resource Center is hosting its annual "STRIKE" Out Child Abuse event on November 15th. It's SOLD OUT for teams but lane sponsorships are still available (deadline: November 11th)! "STRIKE" Out Child Abuse pits friends and family against each other in fun and friendly competition. Even if you aren't bowling this year, stop by Classic Lanes in West Rome to check out the action next Tuesday!
Special Thanks To
Daniele Tedesco, Attorney At Law
Principal Sponsor Of This Event
