Tillman Clocktower Race is Just Around the Corner!

August 20th to be exact!!
It's almost here! Our sponsorships ae strong this year, and registrations look good. We are putting the finishing touches on another great race, and we need YOU to make this the best race ever.

It takes a lot of volunteers to make our race the best in the area. Freedom Shrine Dedication
On Wednesday of this week, Exchangites gathered at Pepperell Elementary School in Lindale to dedicate and present a new Freedom Shrine to that school. On hand to make the presentation were President Mike Elliott, Immediate Past President JP Cooper, and Americanism Chair Bill King.
At the presentation were students of the school who were members of the Student Government as well as Principal Teri Pendley and Robin Seabolt, a teacher. Teachers plan to incorporate the Freedom Shrine in their government and civics classes by asking students to find the answers to some of their homework questions by going to the Shrine and looking for certain documents.
There is an excellent story about this in Thursday's Rome News front page |

Exchange Fellowship
This week please remember these Exchangites in your thoughts and prayers:
Mike Simmons, our Director of Security annually at our Coosa Valley Fair and a motorcycle policeman for the Rome PD was struck by a car while leaving one wreck scene to travel to another. He was wearing a yellow traffic vest and his emergency lights were operating. Mike was operated on and a rod was place in his leg. But you know, you can't keep a good man down. Mike is now in rehab and faces a long recovery period. Please keep this good friend of Exchange in your thoughts and prayers.
Exchangite Bobby Padgett has a blood clot on his heart, but as blood clots go, it is "stable". He is on medication to dissolve the clot. He is still in cardiac rehab. He feels well, but tires easily. He is working about 4 hours a day. Progress every day, but still needs prayers for strength.
If you have fellowship information, please let us know. The email addresses are:
If you have emailed one of the above and your fellowship need has not been announced within a few hours, please email one of the other contacts.
