Exchange Fellowship
This week it seems like we have a lot people we need to pray for:
  • Exchangite Ann Arnold  had knee replacement surgery right after Christmas.  Please remember Ann during the coming weeks.
  • Exchangite Dan Caesar's 9 year old great nephew, Micah Winkle has recently been diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma, a type of bone cancer, and is undergoing treatment at St. Jude's.  Please remember this family.

  • Exchangite Bill Fricks was been in the hospital for a few days  but is at home now and doing much better.

  • Exchangite Greg Frick's wife Ramona - had surgery on her foot last week and is at home and recovering this week.
  • Exchangite Robin Miller had knee replacement on December the 17th and will be out of work 4-6 weeks. Robin says she is improving, going to physical therapy, but is still having discomfort and problems sleeping.
  • Former Rome Exchange President Buck Trott is not doing well.  According to Exchangite Louise Branham -  "He is in a nursing home in Highlands in not such great shape."  Buck had surgery, but there were complications.  Please remember Buck in your prayers for a successful procedure and recovery.
  • Dr Randy Green's wife Becky fell and broke her hip.   Please keep both Becky and Randy in your thoughts and prayers as she recovers.
  • Exchangite GiGi Binion's mother Cile Bishop is recuperating at home from surgery to replace a broken hip and repair a fractured femur.
  • Sherry Loyd, wife of Exchangite Jim Loyd is having severe kidney problems and is in need of our prayers.
  • Mary Louise Dixon, wife of Exchangite Richard Dixon, and Exchangite Giles Chapman  both continue their treatment for cancer.  Please keep them in your prayers.
  • Let's not forget to remember Exchangite Len Woodward's daughter Emily Macy.  Emily is not doing well.
  • Exchangite Brenda Gail Baldwin needs continued prayers as she receives treatment for MS.
  • Exchangite Dan Scott's wife, Terri continues to do well in her treatment for cancer and needs our support.
  • Exchangite Ray Dempsey has completed his latest round of chemo and is doing OK. He has been diagnosed with cancer of the liver.
  • Exchangite Sam Burrell is in declining  health, both physically and mentally.  Please remember Sam and his family.

Meet our newest member

Bill Lyles  was introduced to the club by his sponsor/mentor Harry Wise and was duly inducted into Rome Exchange Club by Ted Noe, Exchange Past President.  Bill indicated a strong desire to continue to serve his community.

Exchange President Bryan Shealy presented a check for $17,500 to Tina Bartleson, Executive Director of the Family Resource Center.  This check represents proceeds from the CVF given to Rome Exchange for the FRC.

CVF  - Bill Irmscher took the podium to indicate the dates of the fair would be October 6th -October 10th 2015 and that Buzz was already working on commitments for the building locations for the vendors (and taking checks).

Toys For Tots - Hal Gosnell reported on a very successful, both effective and efficient, TFT Campaign and expressed thanks to the CVFA and REC as well as the AFJROTC who provided approximately 50 cadets who assisted in the effort to serve 2000 children in this area.  He was especially proud that the use of various resource lists enabled the "scrubbing" of names as recipients so as to keep anyone from unfairly "doubling up". The REC membership expressed gratitude to Hal for his unwavering commitment and tireless energy.

FRC - Tina Bartleson took to the podium to thank John Hine for his leadership during the 2014 Campaign and recognized some leadership changes within the BOD.  Jason Sanker was noted for his 3 years as President and would be replaced by Robin Hice of Harbin Clinic and that Bill Irmscher would replace Kirk Milam as the CVFA representative.  Ward Daugherty, Pat Patton, and  Sam Evans  were recognized for their service on the BOD.   Sam has served actively on the board for 23 years!  THANKS SAM for your leadership.

Blue Cup Money from our last meeting will go to Summit Quest.

Meal Policy Of The Exchange Club Of Rome
Members are encouraged to bring prospective member guests to all regular meetings.  The club is most happy to pay for the meals of prospects the first two times they visit, more then that you are required to pay for your guest's meal.  If you bring a non-prospect guest, someone to just join you for lunch, or if you take out a lunch for anyone that is not a member, you are required to pay for your guest's or takeout meal.  The cost of the meal is $7 per meal and must be paid to the Treasurer at the time of the meeting.
