This week it seems like we have a lot people we need to pray for:
  • Dr Randy Green's wife Becky fell and broke her hip  and had surgery at Redmond and is still there recovering.  Randy, while visiting her in the hospital fell and got a nasty cut.  They fixed him up at the hospital and he was released.   Randy and his wife live in Horizon Bay.  Please keep both Becky and Randy in your thoughts and prayers.
  • Exchangite GiGi Binion's mother Cel Bishop is recovering from a broken him and needs to be remembered in your thoughts and prayers for a fast and complete recovery.
  • Wanda Whitten asks for prayers for one of her teen contestants, Miss Apple Capital Outstanding Teen. Her name is Sydney Ridings and she is 15 and fighting bone cancer.  She is from Cumming and currently In the hospital in North Carolina.

  • Sherry Loyd, wife of Exchangite Jim Loyd is having severe kidney problems and is in need of our prayers.
  • Exchangite Bill Wigley is back in his retirement home after spending a month in the hospital.  As the dementia is progressing his health is declining rapidly. Please keep him in your prayers.
  • Mary Louise Dixon, wife of Exchangite Richard Dixon has started a round of chemotherapy..
  • Exchangite Giles Chapman continues treatments for cancer, but says he is feeling great.
  • Please continue to keep Exchangite Barbara Carter and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

  • Please continue to keep the family of Milton Tippin in your thoughts and prayers.
  • Exchangite Brenda Gail Baldwin needs continued prayers as she receives treatment for MS.
  • Exchangite Dan Scott's wife, Terri continues to do well in her treatment for cancer and needs our support.

Last Week's Meeting
One Nation Under God
If you missed this, words cannot really describe this stirring presentation by Dr. David Naglee.  He really brought home the feelings of our founding fathers that should be in everyone's heart today.

Dedicated Freedom Shrine At Palladium
With a most meaningful presentation, Past President Tony Daniel dedicated the recently installed Freedom Shrine at the Palladium for all to see and be inspired by the words.  Accepting the shrine is President Bryan Shealy.
Toys for Tots

Toys For Tots Train
One more Registration Day has been scheduled for Saturday, December 5th from 10A to 4P at the Good Neighbor Ministry, 208 E. Second Street.

Toy Distribution has been set for Saturday, December 20th at the
Coosa Valley Fair ground.  As Hal explained at a recent meeting, much of the work for the distribution will be done  before the distribution day in order for that to go smoothly and quickly.

Meredith Brown will be the contact for those who can help sort and get toys ready for distribution. She will need people from Monday, Dec. 8th through Friday, Dec. 12th, both morning and afternoons. On Saturday morning, Dec. 13th, we will pack the toys for the Sheriff's program. The following week, Monday, Dec. 15th through Friday, Dec. 19th, she will need volunteers again for both morning and afternoon sorting and picking. If you can work only in the morning or afternoon, that is fine. Also, if there are days you can and cannot work, just let Meredith know. Her email address is meredith@howseandrice.com. We will need 4 to 8 people there most of the time to get the work done.

Santa for Seniors Program

If you volunteered to be a Senior Santa, Wanda Whitten has sent out information to you which you should have on Friday.  You also should have received an instruction email from her.  If you do not get your information, contact Wanda (706-235-0665 or 706-802-3924 so no one is left out at Christmas.

Meal Policy Of The Exchange Club Of Rome
Members are encouraged to bring prospective member guests to all regular meetings.  The club is most happy to pay for the meals of prospects the first two times they visit, more then that you are required to pay for your guest's meal.  If you bring a non-prospect guest, someone to just join you for lunch, or if you take out a lunch for anyone that is not a member, you are required to pay for your guest's or takeout meal.  The cost of the meal is $7 per meal and must be paid to the Treasurer at the time of the meeting.
